This is the privacy policy for marloquint.com, the official home of the murder mystery puzzle books published under the pen name Marlo Quint. We keep this short and plain.

The Verdict Room

The solution checker on this site runs entirely in your own web browser. Any name you type to test your answer is processed locally on your device and is never sent to us or to any server. We do not see it, store it, or log it.

The Mailing List

If you choose to join our mailing list, you give us your email address so we can confirm your subscription, send you a free book, and send you occasional news and new puzzles. We use Kit (kit.com) as our email service provider to store your address and deliver these emails on our behalf. We never sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone else. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, and we will remove you promptly.

Analytics and Cookies

We may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are popular. This data is anonymous and is not used to identify you personally. This site sets no advertising cookies.

External Links

Our "Buy the Series" links lead to Amazon. Once you leave this site, the privacy policy of Amazon (or any other destination) applies, not ours.

Beta Reader Applications

When we run a beta reader round, applications are collected through Google Forms. If you apply, you give us your name, email address, shipping address, and optionally a phone number, so we can ship your copy of the book and collect your feedback. This data is stored in Google Forms and Google Sheets on our account, is used only to run the beta program, and is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone else. If you give explicit permission in the application form, the name you provide may be printed as a credit inside the book. Once the beta round ends, we delete the shipping data. You can ask us to delete your data at any time using the contact below.
